What is a Mage? I hear you ask.
Mage (noun, archaic, literary) – a magician, sorceress or learned person.
The Mage is a supernatural archetype and a blend of witch, sage and sorcerer. What gives the Mage its distinct flavour is that the Mage is not concerned with using their powers for their own benefit but to be an advisor and spiritual director to the hero/heroine - usually a King or Queen.
